What's a slotted concrete post?
A concrete fence post with vertical grooves either side, designed for fence panels to slide straight in — no nails, no brackets, no rot. The strongest, lowest-maintenance way to build a garden fence.
How many concrete posts do I need?
One more than the number of panels. So an 11-panel fence run needs 12 posts. Each post sits roughly 1.83m apart.
What size concrete post for a 6ft fence panel?
An 8ft (2440mm) post is the standard for a 6ft panel with a 12-inch gravel board. Bury about 2ft (600mm) in postmix concrete and you've got 6ft above ground.
Do concrete posts last longer than timber?
Yes — significantly. Concrete posts typically last 25+ years; pressure-treated timber posts usually need replacing after 8–15 years because they rot at ground level. Concrete is the long-term answer.
Can you deliver concrete posts to my house?
Yes — we're heavy-goods specialists. Concrete posts are heavy (around 40kg each for an 8ft post) so we load and deliver them ourselves to make sure they arrive undamaged.
